  • Best Government JOB Websites in Washington State

ruby beachThe internet is by far the largest and best resource in the world for anything. You can literally type in anything you are looking for and within seconds you have pages and pages of information, 24 hours a day, and all for free. Unfortunately, with the ability for anyone to have a website, there is quite a bit of false information out there. If you live in Washington State and you need some information, there are a number of government website you can use. I have compiled a list of the most important and useful websites below.

    Jobs from Washington

http://access.wa.gov/ is the official website of Washington State. It contains tons of information about everything in this state. You can find job listings, things to do in Washington, tax information, and countless other helpful databases. This site also contains an A to Z listing of all government sites in Washington State.

One of the best resources I have found is at http://www.esd.wa.gov. This site offers tons of information concerning employment. If you are looking for a job in Washington State, you can post your resume or browse through available jobs on this site. For employers, you can easily find the perfect candidates for your business by visiting this site. The site also has valuable information concerning unemployment, how to apply, what you will receive, and more.

Turning In A New Sale - Day 12If you have a legal question, you can find your answer at http://www1.leg.wa.gov/LawsAndAgencyRules. This site has a comprehensive list of all the laws and regulations in Washington State. Not only is it useful, it is rather fun to go through and see just how many laws there are. The only downside about this site is that it can be rather hard to find things.

For those with a helpful nature, or those who need help, http://www.resourcehouse.com/en/WA/cgi-bin/location.asp is perfect for you. The site has a large selection of volunteer work that is available in your local area, as well as the option to ask for help. In times of need in Washington, ResourceHouse will organize special volunteer events. Especially in natural disasters (like the recent flood and the flood in 2007), this site delivers. It is very helpful if you want to lend a helpful hand, or you are looking for a helping hand in your time of need.

Another good site is if you are looking to donate your time or money or learn about recent disasters is http://www.emd.wa.gov/. You can find all the resources you need when a natural disaster or other emergency happens. Also, the site has opportunities to donate your money or volunteer your time to help great causes, such as helping the victims of the recent flood.

For those who are moving to Washington, or just visiting, you should check out http://www.experiencewa.com/home.aspx. The site is the tourism department for Washington State, and lists all the great things to do in our wonderful little state. Washington is filled with things to do, but for those who don’t live here; it can be very hard to find things that would interest you. If you are visiting, or even if you live here and are looking for things to do, you should check out this site.

For people looking to enroll in college, http://www.wsu.edu/ is perfect. Wsu.edu is the homepage for the University of Washington, which is considered a top-tier university. You can find information about the school, find contact info, and learn how to apply on this site. WSU is a great college located in Pullman, Washington, that provides superior education for a reasonable tuition. If you are looking to enroll for the first time, or go back to college, check out http://www.wsu.edu/!
